Multi Model

Today, shippers have access to multiple transportation and shipping options to move goods across the globe. However, a single mode of transport is not always sufficient to deliver freight to its final destination. In many cases, cargo travels long distances by sea or air and then requires road or rail transportation to complete the journey. This makes it necessary to combine different transport modes to ensure smooth and timely delivery. In logistics, such combinations are commonly classified as intermodal and multimodal transportation. Multimodal transport refers to the use of two or more transportation modes—such as trucks, trains, vessels, and aircraft—to move a shipment under one unified contract or bill of lading.
